At the time of this pageant, the title was Miss Gay USA, however, the title changed to Miss Gay USofA in the 1990s. All titleholders who have captured the title are known as Miss Gay USofA, regardless of when they captured the title.

The original video footage of the pageant was captured by VHS tape and was later transposed to DVD. All efforts have been made to eliminate any distortions in the original footage.
